In partnership with Symbol the mission x-pad
mobile ordering solution is now available.
Using Symbol's high
specification MC-50 mobile PC, the X-Pad was developed by Mission using .net
technology and is powered by Microsoft's Windows CE operating system. Using the
MC-50 built in wireless radio linked to a Symbol AP50 access point there is an
impressive range of reception cutting down the need for additional hardware.
The device is unique to it's competitors both in performance and
technology, should the unit go out of range it will store orders and transfers
and send them automatically when reception returns.
The X-Pad is sturdy
in a shock resistant case, has a large screen for ease of use while still being
compact (it can sit comfortably in the palm of your hand, held in place by an
elastic strap).
The battery life is over 6 hours in use, and the unit
comes with an interchangeable spare battery so the X-Pad is always available.
