The short expiration dates of these products require precise production planning and a detailed overview of warehouse inventory. Based upon these requirements, Jan Varmua/Delimax decided to implement a new, yet proven warehouse management system utilizing mobile computers and bar codes which operated in real-time. The PSC Falcon 335 mobile computer with an integrated bar code scanner was selected for this application because of its open standards, powerful applications, and ease of use, allowing seamless integration into the supply chain systems.
