The data in the Natural Resource Projects Inventory (NRPI)

The Memorandum of Understanding for the CRMP intends to focus on wildland and wildland-urban intermix fuel load reduction/healthy forest ecosystem and fire safe communities in order to promote public safety, watershed stability, and high quality waters in the American River and its tributaries through cooperation, information and education. Long term forest health and catastropohic wildland fires are of critical concern as are the following problems: a) erosion and sedimentation; b) habitat quality, habitat disruption and depletion of biodiversity; c) the intermix of rural homes and resultant economic fire hazards; d) the need to maintain the area's economic stability; e) the need to maintain the stability of the watershed; and f) the critical need for high quality waters throughout the American River watershed to serve multiple and highly varied downstream needs.
