Methods of Course
Instruction:
Web Based: Online courses are available to students
anywhere and at any time that they can use a computer and the World Wide Web.
Students on line have access to all the course information, resources, exercises
and other elements of the course. The also are provided ways of interacting with
the instructor and discussing questions and issues with other students in the
course. More detail about online courses, including registration, completion
requirements, technical requirements and more can be found at the web site for
the course.
Modes of Communication with
Professor: Students will
communicate with the professor during the class sessions. Individual conferences
can be held in person, by appointment, by phone, or e-mail.

Contact: Students are required to attend weekly classes at one of the
sites.
Application Process (Degree
Seeking): Students who have not attended Cleveland State must be admitted
before enrolling in courses towards a degree. Begin the Admissions process
through an Application for Admission to the Graduate School . Fill out the
Online Application at http://www.csuohio.edu/admissions/gradapp.html,
or go to the Admissions Website http://www.csuohio.edu/admissions/gradForm.html
for other methods of application. The Admission Offices can be reached at (216)
687-2100.
Guest Students
Whether you are attending another school and want to take a
course over the summer, are a busy professional and need a course for licensure
or if you have a degree and just want to take a course just for fun we have a
guest student status designed to meet your needs.
- Non-degree
- Non-degree students are admitted to CSU and are eligible to enroll each
semester. This status is excellent for students who are interested in pursuing
a degree program at CSU, but do not wish to complete the formal degree seeking
application process at this time. There is a one-time, non-refundable $30
application fee when applying.
- Transient
- Designed for those graduate and undergraduate students who are degree
seeking at another college or university but would like to take courses at CSU
and have them transferred back to their home school.
- Visiting
- Students who have a baccalaureate degree but want to take a course for
professional development or just for fun.
The appropriate application forms can be downloaded or otherwise accessed
from the links above. Once completed, downloaded forms can be faxed to the
Registrar€™s office at 216-687-5449.

Current or Previous Cleveland State University
Students
- Current Cleveland State students should follow the registration procedure
for all classes for the semester of desired enrollment. Registration should be
done online through CampusNet, at https://campusnet.csuohio.edu. The
registration form is also located in the back of the current course schedule or
can be downloaded on the web at www.csuohio.edu/registrar. This form
can be faxed to the registrar€™s office at (216) 687-5449. Students will receive
a registration confirmation and an invoice for the class.
- Students who interrupt their enrollment in the University for three or more
consecutive semesters, including summer, must submit and have processed a Return from
Leave of Absence Form before they are allowed to register for classes again.
If you attended another institution, received a degree from Cleveland State, or
were academically dismissed from Cleveland State, you are not eligible for
reenrollment; instead you must contact the Admissions Office.
The
Return from Leave of Absence form is available online at https://csu-a.csuohio.edu/registrar/secured/reenroll.html.
Alternatively, you may visit University Center 400 to fill out a paper copy of
the form. Contact the Registrar€™s office at or FAX: (216) 687-5449.
- Students who have attended Cleveland State in the past and then attended
another university, must reapply to Cleveland State and provide copies of the
transcripts from that institution. A re-application form can be downloaded from
www.csuohio.edu/admissions. Once
activated, the student can complete a Registration form and fax to the
Registrar€™s office at (216) 687-5449.
Fees & Payment

Fees can be paid by check or credit card and are due prior to the start of
class. Current Cleveland State students follow the registration procedure for
all classes for the semester of desired enrollment. Registration should be done
online through CampusNet, at https://campusnet.csuohio.edu.
A Budget Payment plan is available to students for a minimal fee. Details of
the Budget Payment plan can be found at www.csuohio.edu/bursar/.
Financial Aid Some students may
be eligible for financial aid. Information about available financial aid and the
application process can be found at www.csuohio.edu/fao. The Cleveland State
Financial Aid office can be contacted at 216-687-3765 or at fao@csuohio.edu. Note: Non-degree students are
not eligible for financial aid.

Textbooks - Required texts can be
purchased through the Cleveland State Bookstore online or via fax or phone and
delivered to your home. Call 1- 800 325-3252 to order by phone and pay by

Library The Cleveland State
University Library, including Electronic Course Reserves, online databases and
electronic journals, is accessible via the web. To use all the features of the
Library from an off-campus site, you must login using your CSU ID number. To
visit the Cleveland State University Library Distance Education Web site go to
http://html.ulib.csuohio.edu/de/.
Additional information will be provided by your professor once you have enrolled
in the course.
CampusNet - Every
student has access to the CampusNet system that allows for online registration,
current semester schedules, obtaining financial aid information, checking for
grades, finding current account balances, making payments, and receiving
general information. CampusNet is accessible via the web at https://campusnet.csuohio.edu.
Email - All registered students receive University
e-mail (POPmail) and free dial-up internet access through Information Services
and Technology. The email address is: mailid@csuohio.edu (Your mailid is based
on your name; you will see it when you first log in to CampusNet.) Contact

Advising Students
can call the sponsoring department to speak to an advisor and obtain additional
