OpenPROTRAK Scanned Inventory

The program assumes you have an input file with the proper format.?OpenMETRIC provides this functionality for Intermec Scanners.?Documentation for using Intermec Scanners for the Offline Track Status update is provided in the file OpenPROTRAK Physinv User.doc, located in the OMET\READMES directory.?/SPAN>

Note:? If you plan to create the input file using another type of scanner or program, contact Technical Support at Diversified Data Systems for more information on the structure and layout of the input file.

Locate the input file, select it, and click the Open button.?A message will inform you €œData queued successfully.?Click OK to clear the message.

The system takes each record in the input file you selected, and adds it to a file referred to as Queue.?You can continue to collect records in the queue by processing multiple input files.

After at least one file has been added to the €œqueue, the other previously disabled buttons are enabled on the screen, including one to €œPrint the Queue Journal€?and another to €œProcess all Queued files€?/SPAN>

Print the Queue Journal

At any time after queuing at least one file, pressing the button entitled €œPrint the Queue Journal€?/SPAN> will cause a report to be printed which gives summary information for all queued data.?This step may be repeated as desired, or may not be used at all.

NOTE: The Queue Journal may only be printed until the user selects the button €œProcess all Queued files€?after which all queued data is cleared.

Process all Queued files

At any time after queuing at least one file, pressing the button entitled €œProcess all Queued files€?/B> begins the process of updating the system with the Physical Inventory Information from the Trakker.  A series of reports are printed as the update progresses.

Reports printed during update:

  • Handheld Physical Inventory Detail
  • Handheld Update Physical Inventory Error List
  • Items Not Found by Location
  • Items Found which are Past Due for Calibration
  • Items Found in Wrong Locations

The above named reports will be created as files in a location determined by the user€™s value in   "PATH:RPT" setting in the Reference file
