The ActivityBase Inventory Manager (AIM) facilitates the storage and tracking of
compounds and containers. It comprises a web-based inventory request application
(AIM-web) and a client-based inventory management desktop (AIM-client). Since
ActivityBase and AIM share the same data model, inventory and screening
workflows can be integrated and streamlined. Developed using industry standard
technologies, AIM is readily customised to provide a complete, tailored
inventory management software solution for your laboratory environment.
Key Benefits:
- Integrate inventory and discovery data to streamline research
- Tailor the system to match your workflow
- Simplify requests by using straightforward pre-defined forms
- Determine the best possible match for requested items
- Save time by accessing all relevant inventory request information from one
easy-to-use interface
- Perform a variety of stock control tasks within one application
- Create simple or complex location structures
- Generate customised management reports.
AIM meets the needs of
scientists, members of the sample management group and managers.
AIM for Scientists
AIM-web enables scientists
(screeners, chemists, biologists) to browse for plates and compounds, check
availability, create inventory requests and monitor the status of their
requests. Because this application is web-based, all that is required to access
it is a web browser on any PC梤egardless of where the PC is located.
Creating an Inventory Request
An inventory request
can be as simple (request a custom plate) or as complex (request a cherry picked
plate from a hit list) as you like. Requests can be saved then re-visited as
many times as necessary before submitting them to the fulfillers (members of the
sample management team).
Scientists can also review the status of their
outstanding requests and once the fulfiller has completed the request, AIM-web
displays it as completed and ready for collection.
